About Us

We’re American Limb & Orthopedic Company of Valparaiso, and we are an ABC accredited Prosthetic and Orthotic patient care center with state of the art in house fabrication lab that serves northwest Indiana since 2007. We provide a full range of treatments for individuals who have suffered debilitating illness and injuries. We provide a quick turnaround to efficiently meet the needs of our patients, doctors and hospitals. Offering off-the-shelf and custom fabricated prosthetics and orthotics from head to toe has placed us at the top of our industry! In 2016 we broadened our services to help animals by introducing the “Paws In Motion” division that provides custom made prosthetics, braces, and carts for your pet. We are looking forward to growing our business to continue serving Valparaiso and all surrounding counties and states. By Appointment Only!

I give my highest recommendation to the American Limb and Orthopedic Company of Valparaiso, Indiana. Dr. Dagny Laur went out of her way to take care of my elderly mother in her final days. Dr Laur had previously provided orthotic care for my mother for a different condition, so when the appropriate brace for my mom's arm fracture could not be obtained by the hospital, I called Dr Dagny Laur at American Limb and Orthopedic Company in Valparaiso. Although the hospital where my mother was a patient is located quite some distance away and was not normally where Dr Leur provides her orthotic and prosthetic skills, Dr Laur traveled to that hospital and expertly applied the appropriate brace to stabilize and protect the fracture. I will be forever grateful for the compassionate care and comfort provided for my mother by Dr. Dagny Laur and American Limb and Orthopedic Company of Valparaiso, Indiana.

The staff was extremely friendly and happy to help, quickly got back to me if i left voice messages, and were very punctual with keeping their appointment times. There were only two setbacks during the whole process, one was my fault (i overslept and had to reschedule) and the other was insurance doing their typical difficult B.S. (not this places fault, and they advocated for me with insurance). Hopefully no one reading this ever needs to get a prosthetic, but if you do youre in great hands here! I feel one step closer to reclaiming my life thanks to them.

We are growing our team into the New Year! We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual with the passion for helping people as we continue to grow our team!

At this time we are looking to hire for a few different positions. We are looking to hire a Desk/Receptionist who will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking in patients, processing paperwork, etc.
**Some medical background or experience in the field is preferred but not required!

We are also looking for a Certified & Licensed Orthotic Fitter or Orthotist.

Requirements:
*Must be Certified & Licensed
*Experience is Required
*Pay is based on experience
*Offer Benefits (Insurance, 401K, Paid Vacation)
**Please note: Candidates must have experience in this line of work to apply! We do not have the ability to train for this role.
